The World Bank Group is a partner of AIESEC and is comprised of young WBG employees and supported by WBG Senior Management. Established in 2013, the Youth Summit is an annual event held by the World Bank Group (WBG) to engage with youth globally on the most pressing topics facing their generation.
About Youth Summit 2016:
Youth are the main consumers and participants in education. Despite intimate knowledge of the successes and failures of modern education, they rarely have the opportunity to shape a system that is built on their behalf. This year’s Youth Summit will seek to bridge that gap, giving youth an active voice in creating a vision for the future of education.
- November 14 and 15, 2016: The dates of the 2016 Youth Summit which takes place in Washington, D.C and coincides with Education Week in the United States.
- September 25, 2016: The closing date for entries to the Youth Summit Competition. In addition to plenary sessions, the Youth Summit will feature a competition for passionate youth to demonstrate their innovative ideas to transform education. The selected finalists will be invited to present their proposals to alive audience and jury of experts. The jury will select the winning proposal which will be announced at the closing ceremony.
