"I have no idea what you are talking about."

Once upon a time...

Once upon a time...

This is not a true life story of a pseudo EP named Justin.

Justin, an exchange participant, is being prepared by his home entity, AIESEC in Ginger, to volunteer on a project in the host entity, AIESEC in Melon.

Justin: "I am ready to go abroad for that awesome project now."

AIESEC in Ginger "What are you waiting for?, Jump on your flight and go on. It is going to be exciting."

Justin: "Really? But I don't know what I'm going to expect."

AIESEC in Ginger: " Just go Justin. Call us if anything happens."

And Justin leaves for Ginger to begin his “awesome” project in Melon.

AIESEC in Melon: "Welcome Justin."

Justin: "Yaaaay, so where is that 'awesome' project? I want to jump right in."

AIESEC in Melon: "Huh, Jump?"

Justin: "Yeah!"

AIESEC in Melon: "Well before you jump, you know you are here to become a better leader by developing four leadership qualities?"

AIESEC in Melon: "And we will be doing this through our LDM?"

Justin is shocked!

Justin: "I have no idea what you are talking about."

Let us not create more stories like Justin’s.

It is very important to adequately and effectively prepare your exchange participants (EP) before they leave for their host entity. Value delivery does not begin when the EP gets to the host entity, but when the EP is approved in the home entity. It is unarguably STANDARD 14.

Members responsible for this need to be informed with the right tools.

Fortunately, you don't need to sweat; the tools you need for this is already prepared for you.

So pick up your tool box and let us give our EPs better preparation.
