Last week, AIESEC in Ecuador is a chosen as a Fearless Growth Hackers in Americas. We have approached MCVP iGV for sharing their growth hacking secret:
1. Improving approval process: As iGV, we are making sure that every single entity tries to contact every applicant under a 24 hour time frame. This requires: daily EXPA revision, fast first contact (through email and Whatsapp), schedule interviews for the same day (maximum 48 hours) and accept the applicant during the interview. Being able to compromise the Exchange Participant with the project during the interview is a really important point, in order to guarantee his realization. This is accompanied by the follow up tools we created, iGV needs to track the applications received. By keeping record, we are able to gather data on where our main applicants come from but also to understand what can we do in order to increase the number of approvals we can do. This requires a lot of compromise from the network because they are the ones that need to fill the information on a daily basis, otherwise the status of the LC is not clear.
2. MC Tracking Space: In Ecuador, as MC Team, we've dedicated some time of our week's work to do follow ups on LC activities. We have called our members to see how informed they are with the changes that occur in AIESEC in Ecuador, we called former EPs to see what was the most important thing during the experience they lived both in iGV and oGV, and we are working with our partners to see what other projects can we work on together. This has allowed us to check on bottlenecks in the LC processes that didn't allow us to grow, and focus on what are those solutions we can formulate to improve our performance.
3. Network Management: The results we achieve are always a combination of the efforts both LCs and MC put into the work we must do, therefore in order to maintain a close relationship and clear focus on the improvements we must do to achieve our goals, we decided that carefully planning network management is a way to achieve it. Our weeks are divided in three main points: On Mondays we send a weekly newsletter to our membership about the results we've accomplished in Operational areas, new documents added to our Knowledge Ecuador Hub and any other important news they need to know. Wednesdays of "EcuaDOers" in which we recognized the GCPs or main activities LCs are doing in order to achieve our goals, and also a "Fearless Friday" through which we try to do storming activities that enable us to solve the main bottlenecks we might be facing in a particular area. The elements included are: planned one-to-ones and team meetings during each month, making it a routine to follow, constant education for EBs and members to be updated of the changes happening in AIESEC in Ecuador, and an improved internal communication strategy.
